Today was a most relaxing day. We did a laundry in the morning and did not head into the city until around 10:45. Just before we left our neighbours, the young french couple, said good bye. They are headed north towards Cairns. We gave them a really good map of the area from Sydney to Brisbane that we used on the way down. We also exchanged Blog information as they will be posting about their adventures as well.
We lunched at a nice street side cafe and then headed over to the Aquarium. We had heard that the aquarium was a must see. Unfortunately I was disappointed in it. They were undergoing some maintenance work so some of the exhibits were closed. Overall however, I still found the whole thing some what lacking in appeal. There were no labels on any of the tanks, just an interactive panel listing 20 or 30 possible organisms that you might (or might not) find in the tank. It was all supposed to make it a more involved, learning experience. Crap! I just want them to show me slimmy, spiny, or poisonous critters and tell me what they are!
After the aquarium we strolled the wharf area and stopped for ice coffees at a Starbucks. I am starting to like Starbucks because of their convenient free Wi Fi connections, as well as the caffein. We rolled back into the campsite around 5:00 pm. We spent the remainder of the daylight sipping cold beer and going over potential camping locations in the coming week. I have made reservations at the Katoomba caravan park, in the Blue Mountains, for the next two nights. Should be a relaxing couple of days.
We also got some great shots ofthe parrots at the campsite just before supper!

Seriously?? Those lovely birds are at your campsite?? I am totally jealous - but thanks for the pics. I'll have to view them vicariously - as in that someone I know is seeing colorful birds all around them. How lovely!!
