Heading out camping with the kids today when Jadine gets home from work. Andrew picks us up around 10:00 as we check out of the hotel. The walk over to their place yesteday was a tiring start to the day in the hot weather that we are not used to. At Genesis 1 (the name of their apartment complex) we pack up the supplies and head out around 1:00. The drive to D'Agulaire is about an hour north west of Brisbane along the M1 motorway. Only 9 sites at the campground but it is quiet and nestled in the forest next to a creek. A very nice spot that is typical of camping in southern Queensland. We settle in and are set-up by 3:30. Before heading down the road to check out the local fauna. Although Andrew is good at spotting stuff, Jadine is particularly good! The fire was slow to get started but we were using iron wood and it burns slow with lots of Btu. Supper was smokies over the fire followed by wine! Andrew played a large portion of his repetoire on the guitar. He has gotten very good and entertains us well into the night!
